Should you outsource some of your tasks to an expert?
We are having our house decorated at the moment. It’s the first time we have paid someone else to do it.
Previous blockers were cost, someone in our house and it was something we could do it ourselves.
Businesses have similar concerns about someone else doing their accounts and bookkeeping. People don’t like to talk about money and there is a vulnerability about sharing your finances someone else.
Our decorator was recommended so I have faith in the quality of his work and the trust to let him work in our house unsupervised.
His costs are reasonable, and I can carry on working and earning while the decorating is done and do not need to sacrifice my weekends or client time.
He does a better job than I possibly could. I can feel proud of my house after it has been neglected for a while.
He is also easy to get on with and very tidy.
Just because you can do the accounts yourself (although it’s not quite as easy as the adverts make it out to be) what could you do for your business in that time?
Wouldn’t it feel great to know your accounts are accurate rather than crossing your fingers and hoping it is right? What is the price of peace of mind?
